MONTREAL - Logo Computer Systems Inc. (LCSI) today announced the release of its Macintosh version of the award-winning software - MicroWorlds Pro. Using this powerful multimedia authoring tool, students can create dynamic, interactive school and Internet projects. In addition, students become active web designers not just passive web viewers.

MicroWorlds Pro includes web authoring tools that allow you to create HTML templates for your interactive projects to be displayed directly on the WWW; add hyperlink connections to your projects; drag and drop music including MP3's, pictures, videos, web pages, sounds and QuickTime VR. Drawing tools include 140 colors to choose from, 24 editable brushes, color viewer and picker, and color shading. Students can make easy animation with just one simple click and make use of the hundreds of multi-colored shapes and the fat bits editor to grow and shrink shapes. Also included are interactive samples within the on-line help system so that learning MicroWorlds Pro is so much easier.

Teachers and students can get a real sense of the depth and breadth of this powerful multimedia programming environment. MicroWorlds Pro helps develop creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. It's so versatile it can be used in any subject area.

The system requirements are Mac OS 8.5 or higher; 32 MB of RAM, with virtual memory set to at least 40 MB; 100 MHZ Power PC or faster; QuickTimeä 4.0 or later; and a CD ROM drive.
