LCSI ANNOUNCES MicroWorlds JRT
Montreal - June 28, 2004 -Logo Computer Systems Inc. (LCSI) is proud to announce the availability of MicroWorlds JRT- the latest member of the award-winning MicroWorlds family. This exciting new program is designed to allow young children, in Pre-K to Grade 2, to use MicroWorlds.
Specifically developed for Pre-K to grade 2, this iconic program requires no reading. It's easy to learn and use with simple, point and click operation, using "child-friendly" symbols. Children develop problem solving, critical thinking skills and logic as they create dynamic projects in any curriculum area. MicroWorlds JR encourages children to explore mathematical ideas such as number, geometry, patterns and movement.
"We're really excited about this new product. MicroWorlds JR is so simple to use that even pre-reading kids can explore the MicroWorlds learning environment with minimal assistance" says Michael A. Quinn, President of LCSI. "Ideas are introduced in small manageable chunks to allow children to fully master a new concept before moving on to the next challenge. The product continues with LCSI's long tradition of constructivist, open-ended educational software for children."
Currently available for the PC, MicroWorlds JR provides full teacher support that includes sample projects and activity starters. Click here for ways to contact LCSI. A Mac OS X version will be available later this year. For more information, please refer to www.microworlds.com.
