Journal Zone is the proud Winner of District Administration Magazine's Top 100 Honors

LCSI's well-received product Journal Zone, a cross-curricular product designed for grades 3 and up, is an international success and is a groundbreaking example of educational computing

The Top 100 Awards were announced in the June 2002 issue of District Administration Magazine and the focus is on the best products offered this year for K-12 education/educators.
Journal ZoneT is predominantly a "journal" that supports reflective learning within a social context. It can be used within a classroom or the user can join other classrooms from around the world. As a classroom tool, Journal ZoneT integrates three common practices of exemplary teaching -journal writing, collaboration, and scaffolding.

As a collaborative journal, Journal ZoneT, allows students to keep track of their thoughts and plans, discuss their project investigations and make dynamic online presentations. The product works well either in a lab or within classroom based computers. The software is comprised of a graphics, journal text and comments area. In the graphics area, students can present their ideas visually, using objects, backgrounds and animation. .Journal Zone is available in English, French and Spanish.
