Q. What permissions are required to save a MicroWorlds 2.0 project
to a folder on the server or a locked-down workstation?
A. The students will need Read, Write, and Delete access, at a minimum,
to be able to successfully save to a folder. We recommend full access.
Q. I created a graphic in a drawing program. Can I use it as a shape
in MicroWorlds 2.0?
A. Yes. select and copy your graphic then select (click once) one of the
empty dots found in the MicroWorlds 2.0 Shapes center and choose Paste
from the Edit menu.
Q. Is there a Native OS X version of MicroWorlds 2.0 available?
A. As part of of our continuing commitment to the Macintosh platform
LCSI will release a native OS X version of a new MicroWorlds later on in
2003. Fill out and submit this

to be notified of future OS X product releases.
Q. MicroWorlds 2.0 keeps quitting and I can't play any sound when
I run it under OS X's Classic mode.
A. The Macintosh version of MicroWorlds 2.0 is not recommended nor is it
supported under OS X's Classic mode. Click

Q. MicroWorlds 2.0 crashes on my LC/Classic/Color Classic/SE/Plus.
A. MicroWorlds 2.0 only works on 68030, 68040 and PowerMac systems.
Q. Using MicroWorlds 2.0, I can't see the command center, or some of
the windows are truncated.
A. The monitor you're using is too small to run MicroWorlds 2.0
correctly. You will need to upgrade to, at least, a 14" monitor.
Q. MicroWorlds does not allow me to Merge pages of a different size.
A. This feature does not work with MicroWorlds 2.0 for the Macintosh.
You can use Merge with Macintosh MicroWorlds Pro.
Q. MicroWorlds freezes when I click on the scroll bar in the Drawing
Center.
A. Remove any desktop pattern shareware extensions or upgrade to V.2.03.
Q. I cannot open my MicroWorlds Project and it tells me that I am out
of space.
A. Avoid using text boxes and Turtles to simply label something or to
assume a shape that does not move. Stamp the shape or text and delete
the original.
Q. MicroWorlds is causing problems with my cd-rom drive on my G3's
and G4's.

Q. My paint bucket is not working properly running under OS 9.

Q. How do I convert my Macintosh project to Windows format or a
Windows project to Mac format?
A. You can use the built in Import and Export (Mac version only)
commands. For detailed information view the
Importing Read.me found on your Macintosh (v2.03 or higher) MicroWorlds
CD-ROM.
Q. How do I create and post full working MicroWorlds projects online?
A. First, be sure that you are using Macintosh MicroWorlds v2.03 or
higher. Then go to the following link:

step by step instuctions.
Q. I have posted my project online and the music and sounds are no
longer working.
A. Be sure to only use lower case letters for the music and sound
file names and extensions.
