LCSI ANNOUNCES MICROWORLDS EXT ROBOTICS EDITION

MONTREAL, CANADA - November 28, 2003 - Logo Computer Systems Inc. (LCSI) is proud to announce the availability of MicroWorlds EXT Robotics Edition - the latest member of the award-winning MicroWorldsT family.

Appropriate for students in grades 4 and up, MicroWorlds EX Robotics Edition encourages the development of transferable problem solving strategies and critical thinking skills by providing opportunities for both in-depth explorations and project creation. This exciting new product lets students be scientists, engineers, and inventors as they plan projects, develop models and test their ideas. Designed to work with the LEGO® RCX programmable brick (a micro-computer inside a LEGO® brick) or with Crickets (tiny mobile computers that fit in the palm of your hand), students can build a model and control it using the procedures they download to the LEGO® RCX brick or Cricket.

"We're very excited about the possibilities this product gives to students", says Susan Einhorn, Executive Vice-President of LCSI. "It's essential for our future that students develop their math, science and, most importantly, critical thinking skills. This means giving students opportunities to participate in authentic problem-solving activities and to do so, they need the right tools - tools like MicroWorlds EX Robotics."

An extremely versatile program, MicroWorlds EX Robotics can also be used to generate anything from science simulations to mathematical explorations to interactive multimedia stories. It provides students with the tools they need to design, construct, animate, analyze, integrate, visualize and explore different concepts. Students can even build onscreen presentations or simulations in which an event triggers their model to start.

Currently available on the Windows platform, MicroWorlds EX Robotics provides full teacher support that includes tutorials that show how to create curriculum-linked projects, an on-screen techniques panel containing simple step-by-step instructions for hundreds of techniques, and samples that demonstrate the range of exploration possibilities.
